  • Richard Alberg
    Richard Alberg Founder and Chief Executive

    Richard founded and led the pioneering online recruitment company Psychometric Services Ltd (PSL), the first to integrate assessment with recruitment workflow software. Richard raised venture capital to help finance growth at PSL, and the company was purchased in November 2006 by Kenexa, a NASDAQ HR solutions provider that was in turn acquired by IBM. Richard is chair of Launchpad Recruits and until recently chaired the board of North Hertfordshire College, an international educational institution with a turnover of £35m. He is the driving force behind Aptem’s growth.

  • John Brightwell
    John Brightwell Founder and Chief Technology Officer

    John’s career includes many years as owner/manager of an enterprise level bespoke software development company. During this time John developed systems for industries as diverse as online insurance, change management, medical device regulation and conveyancing management. John’s experience, technical knowledge and business analysis skills have been fundamental to Aptem’s development.

  • Neil Twogood
    Neil Twogood Chief Operating Officer

    Neil is a chartered accountant who worked in industry, in finance and line management, before founding, growing and selling a telecommunications company.  Neil worked with Richard at PSL and after the sale of the business completed an MSc in Executive Coaching and Organisational Design. In addition to his role at MWS Neil is a member of the faculty at Ashridge Business School.

  • David Devine
    David Devine Sales & Account Management Director

    David joined MWS in 2018, bringing with him a wealth of experience, leading business development teams in large corporates and startups selling HR technology. In addition, David has over 10 years working in professional bodies implementing Frameworks and Standards in large multinationals and central government.


  • Mark Abrahams
    Mark Abrahams Head of Research

    Mark joined MWS in 2010. He is a Chartered Psychologist specialising in talent assessment & development, psychometrics and analytics. Mark has designed many of the assessments within Aptem and undertaken our tracking studies statistical analysis. With a Post Graduate Certificate in Adult and Further Education, Mark has also supported the development of our Study Programmes curriculum.

  • Talia Geberovich
    Talia Geberovich Marketing Director

    Talia joined MWS in 2018. She has extensive experience marketing technology solutions, working for start-ups as well as large corporates. Talia heads our marketing department and is responsible for branding, marketing and communications. Talia has an Executive MBA from Cass Business School, City University London.

  • Paul Mullins OBE
    Paul Mullins OBE

    Paul joined our board in 2018 and is our non-executive chairman. Paul has been a mergers and acquisitions adviser for 25 years at Schroders, Citigroup, Bank of America and DC Advisory. In addition to MWS, Paul is chairman of The Unilink Group, supplying expert secure environment systems used in prisons and other justice facilities, and chairman of the Education and Training Foundation, the national professional development body for Further Education and Training supported by the Department for Education. Paul received an OBE in 2017 for services to business and industry.

  • David Gagie
    David Gagie

    David joined our board in 2009. David has extensive corporate governance experience, and a strong understanding of the challenges faced by entrepreneurial businesses. In addition to MWS, David is currently a non-executive director of Shawbrook Bank plc, GFKL Lowell Group, and Prize Ventures Ltd (Payzone Group). Earlier in his career, David was also an Advisory Board Director of ING Direct, Managing Director of Consumer Lending & Current Accounts at Lloyds Bank, Chairman of MasterCard UK and a Director of Visa UK and Link Ltd.

  • Shane Gallwey
    Shane Gallwey

    Shane joined our board in 2018. Shane set up the EIS funds at Guinness Asset Management in 2010. Since then the team has invested over £120 million into EIS businesses. He was previously a director at Northland Capital Partners, where his focus was on advising growth companies. Prior to that, Shane worked in corporate finance at HSBC Investment Bank. He is a CFA Charterholder.

    Michael Jackson (MA CFA)

    Michael joined our board in 2018. Michael founded Elderstreet Investments Limited in 1990 and is its executive chairman and director of several companies Elderstreet has invested in. For the past 24 years, he has specialised in raising finance and investing in the smaller companies quoted and unquoted sector.

  • Julian Pickstone
    Julian Pickstone

    Julian joined our board in 2018. Julian has developed the social impact investment business at Triple Point over the last three years. He established the first Social Investment funding provided by a mainstream fund manager that qualified for Social Investment Tax Relief (SITR) and has led Triple Point’s work on social impact evaluation and the Social Impact Bond market. He worked for 17 years with UBS Investment Bank, latterly as a Managing Director and Head of Research for Asia. He is a graduate of the University of Cambridge.
